Who we are

HomeAdapt.ie is an Irish directory of home adaptation contractors, specialist installers and occupational therapists, with guidance on the housing adaptation grant schemes. Contact us at info@homeadapt.ie.

What we collect

Only what you give us:

We don't use analytics cookies or advertising trackers.

What we do with it

Enquiries: we pass your details only to providers in the categories you tick, and only in your county. Nothing else, no lists, no third parties. Reply "stop" to any message and you're removed.

Business listings: we use your details to build and manage your listing. Your business name, county, services, phone and website appear publicly — that's the point of a listing. Your personal contact name and any private notes do not.

We do not sell personal data. Not to contractors, not to marketing lists, not to anyone.

Your rights under GDPR

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email info@homeadapt.ie and we'll act on it. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are deleted once passed on and no longer needed — normally within 90 days. Business listing details are kept while the listing is live, and deleted on request.

Where your data is held

Form submissions are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider. The site is served over HTTPS.

A note on the grant information

Grant amounts, income limits and rules on this site are summarised from gov.ie and Citizens Information for general information only. They are not legal, financial or planning advice. Schemes change, and local authorities apply them differently. Always confirm current requirements with your own council before applying or starting work.

Listings are not endorsements

We list businesses; we do not vet, certify or recommend them. Check credentials, insurance and tax compliance yourself before hiring anyone. Tax compliance in particular matters here — a council will not release grant payment to a contractor without it.
