HomeAdapt.ie is a directory. We are not the seller, the contractor or the service provider. Any agreement for work is between you and the business you contact.
What we do
We list independent contractors, installers and occupational therapists by county and by service, so you can find and contact them directly. We do not take bookings, hold deposits, process payments or take a commission of any kind.
Listings are not recommendations
A listing on this site is not an endorsement, a recommendation or a guarantee of quality. We have not inspected anyone’s work. We do not check insurance, qualifications, registrations, certifications or tax status.
Where a listing shows that we checked a phone number on a given date, it means we rang that number on that date and spoke to someone at the business. That is all it means.
Anything shown as “Says:” is a claim made by the business itself, repeated as it was given to us and not verified by us.
Information accuracy
Listing details are taken from each business’s own website or public listing, or supplied by the business. Details change. Please confirm anything that matters directly with the business before you rely on it.
Grants and eligibility
Anything on this site about the Housing Adaptation Grant for People with a Disability, the Mobility Aids Grant or Housing Aid for Older People is a plain-English summary to help you understand the process. It is not financial, legal or medical advice, and it is not a statement of your eligibility. Grant rules, amounts and income limits change and are applied by your local authority. Always confirm your own position with your local authority before you commit to anything or start work.
Do not start work before you have written approval. Work begun before approval is generally not covered, regardless of need.
Occupational therapists
Where a listing refers to an occupational therapist, please check their registration yourself on the CORU register before engaging them. We do not verify professional registration.
Prices shown on this site
Any prices or price ranges are typical published figures gathered for general guidance. They are not quotes, they are not binding on anyone, and they may be out of date. Always get a written quote before agreeing work.
Please satisfy yourself
Before agreeing any work: confirm exactly what is included, get the price in writing, check the business’s own credentials and insurance, and be cautious about paying substantial sums in advance.
Reporting a listing
If a listing is wrong, out of date, or you believe it should not be here, email info@homeadapt.ie with the business name and the reason. We will acknowledge it, look into it, contact the business where appropriate, and tell you what we have decided.
If you are a listed business
If you are listed and want your details corrected or your listing removed, email us and we will action it the same day. There is no charge for a basic listing and no contract.
Enquiries you send us
If you use an enquiry form, we pass your details only to providers in the categories you tick and in the county you give us. We do not sell, rent or publish your details. See our privacy policy.
Liability
We take reasonable care with what is published here, but we cannot accept responsibility for the acts, omissions, workmanship, pricing or conduct of any business listed, nor for decisions taken on the basis of information on this site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
